Beer Fact

Adding a small amount of honey to a fermenting beer will not, in most cases, make a sweeter tasting beer. Honey, like other sugars, is almost completely consumed by the beer yeast, so the result will be more alcohol.

Alcohol tends to make beer taste lighter and drier. However, if more honey is added than can be consumed by the yeast, you will end up with a strong, sweet beer.
